WHO ARE THE PEOPLE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD?
A warm welcome to all the interesting people coming to visit my site from all over the place, like Honolulu, Hawaii (where I've never been), Australia (where I understand the word "Foster's" means "beer") and Petah Tikva, Israel (where my family settled when they came over from the Old Country).
The fine folks in Ile-de-France, Paris, France needed to know more about Ron Bensimhon, that streaker guy from the Olympics.
In Grand Rapids, Michigan, they're looking for "famous Mensa members Tarantino" and found me. What this means, who can say?
In Ridgewood, NJ, a search for Life & Style co-host Lynn Koplitz landed the searcher here. Fair enough, as Lynn and I are destined to be friends. (She just doesn't know it yet.)
There was a direct hit from Estonia--no search terms, just typing my URL, and here they are. (Welcome!)
In London, England, Akron, Ohio and Visalia, California, they're still asking questions about Sara Gilbert's baby and the romance between Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DiRossi...
My readership is apparently 79% American; 11% Israeli; 6% England, Australia and Canada; and 1% each Estonia, France, Japan and the Netherlands.
Not a single person looking for "Julia Roberts twins," "Jewish Law & Order" or "Esther is Madonna." Now that's a surprise.

Uhm, Esther, Fosters is an export product. It's available in Oz but no one drinks it. VB (Victoria Bitter) seemed to be the cheap domestic beer of choice when I was there. Mind you, most of my info comes from my S.O. who's an atypical down-under ex-pat. She prefers to mix several hard liquours together and make it look innocent with some pretty garnish.
I find it interesting that your site meter lumps all the British Commonwealth together. Just because we all have the Queen on our money doesn't mean we're all the same! Hmmph. [Goes back to his tea and crumpets]

C--thanks for the correction about the beer. You know I was riffing on the commercial, right?
Also, the webcounter did divide it into: 2%/2%/2%, and I grouped them together like that--should have been consistent and done the same thing for Estonia, France, Japan and the Netherlands. My bad.
I don't think you're all the same, FWIW.
What service provides you with all this neat info? Don't think bloggerpatrol does this.
E: Had no clue about the commercial, never seen it. Really. I do have a sense of humour, honest. [turns away from computer to hide his pop culture shame]
Tonight I had a hit on my blog from the search terms "why", "kill" and "deaf". WTF!? I can't imagine why anyone would be doing that search.
Dakota, I believe you are the first! Welcome!
