AN HONOR JUST TO BE NOMINATED
(...but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to win. Just being honest here, people.)
I'm very honored to have been nominated in several categories for Israellycool's new JIB (Jewish/Israeli Blog) Awards. My Urban Kvetch was nominated four times: Best New Blog 2004, Best Humor Blog, Best Personal Blog and Best Jewish Culture Blog. And in the Best Jewish Culture Blog category, JDaters Anonymous was also nominated. (Two nominations in one category? Who am I, Meryl Streep?)

And, lest anyone think this competition is not as heated as say, Miramax's annual Oscars campaign, please note that, in an attempt to increase likelihood that he'll win, DovBear has declared that my blog is among those administered by Satan. (I bet Harvey Weinstein wish he'd thought of that approach.)
Nominations close on January 16, and then we'll get information about voting.
I wanted to close with thanks to all the Anonymous people who nominated me...one nomination would have been lovely. Four wasn't even on my radar. And I'm delighted that JDaters Anonymous, the little blog that could, was also nominated. (It feels kind of like I'm Garden State--a little movie I made because it was important to me, and I'm overwhelmed and grateful that it resonates with others, as well.)
Stay tuned.
