FOR HARDCORE BUFFY FANS ONLY 2

Ever wonder what the first four seasons might have been like if Dawn had been on the show from the beginning?

Well, the hardcore Buffy fans do. Dawn Summers could not be reached for comment. Although thanks to this link, she'll probably weigh in...

Random Buffiness from the Mind of Esther:

If I could travel back in time, I would be an unsigned band that would play at the Bronze.
I want another musical episode.
I want a Tara spinoff series.
I want to always remember Wesley as the "rogue demon hunter" that he was when he first showed up in Los Angeles.
I want to see the new Watchers Academy that Andrew refers to in Season Five of Angel.
I want a Giles spinoff series that has a musical episode. Or twelve.
I want to open a karaoke bar called "Lorne's," in which televisions are constantly running episodes of Buffy and Angel and all the drinks are named after demons or recurring characters.

That's all, I think. What do you want?

* Several episodes that take place in an alternative universe where Xander is the good slayer and Andrew is the rogue slayer.

* No Dawn whatsoever. At all. She is useless and annoying.

* Complete elimination of Kennedy. She annoyed me as much as Dawn did. Maybe the slayer in training with the cockney accent could have a love affair with Willow instead?

* More Giles folksinging.

* A flashback to Willow's Bat Mitzvah.

Random thoughts from Bob:

1. When Mutant Enemy was planning a Buffy Animated series that took place during the first season, it would have included an 10 or 11 year old Dawn.

2. I want a Faith spin-off, with Spike as a supporting character. I think those two would have made a great couple.

3. I want Angel back for two more seasons.

4. I want a Buffy/Angel movie in which Dracula organizes the vampires of the world into an army and the Slayer army has to stop them.

Oh, perfect timing! I've been working my way through Buffy (on the elliptical trainer) and have finished the first Netflick of Season Five, wherein Dawn appears, to my great mystification - I'm glad this never happened in my own family. Or did it? I never had a little sister myself - at least I don't think I did - so I find Dawn as irritating as a dog. On the other hand, I have been laughing up a storm over Anya (who just gets greater and greater) and Harmony (ditto). I could watch the both of them for hours. And Spike too. In comparison Tara and Willow seem so insipid. It's funny to be living in this world for the first time, when the true fans have doted over it for years. I'm always behind...

I still think that Angel was a better show.

I want more television that can make me weep the way "The Body" did, make me laugh the way "Once More With Feeling" and creep me out the way "Hush" did. It's not too much to ask, is it?
