I think it's entirely consistent. Humor versus farce is the ability to induce thought as well as laughter. Laughter and tears aren't so far apart. They are in some ways just different reactions to things we can't understand. Keep the occasional serious post in the mix when it moves you. It makes the humor come through even more clearly.
