YOUR HELP REQUESTED...
...in selecting a venue for my birthday. The parameters are:
Thursday night, June 10 or Saturday night, June 12
A comfortable-sized room that we can have to ourselves for a few hours, with no cover and a cash bar
Preferably on or close to the Upper West Side...
Any suggestions appreciated. The last few years I've been at the Parlour, on West 86th Street. I can't beat it locationwise, but I'm up for a change, if I can figure something else out.
Well, Manhattan socialites? What are your suggestions?

You know, I've never actually been to The Parlor? We'll have to go sometime. Anyway, last year I had my b-day at The Evelyn Lounge - good place with dancing, but a bit loud. I think they have a cover on Saturdays, though. Have you checked out the new place on Amsterdam between 84th and 85th? I have no idea what its like inside. Maybe Mod? Or if you want something kind of divey, there's the multitude of bars on Amsterdam in the lower 80s.
And I vote for Thursday since I'll be out of town that weekend!
